Format: Logo Design

Design: Client requested a logo designed around the theme “Houston Proud” for the 2016 Houston LGBT Pride Celebration. I developed mockups using imagery that invokes what makes Texas and more importantly Houston special. The display font I created was inspired by Houston’s western and cowboy roots while the other font reflects the modernity of Houston today. 

Color selection needed to use a range of colors to illustrate diversity not only for the LGBT Pride Celebration, but also to represent the great number of different cultures that reside in Houston. Although traditional colors of the rainbow are used in most LGBT logos, a palette that was reminiscent of traditional colors yet having its own identity and remaining vibrant, colorful and playful creates a Celebration logo that stands out from the others.

Design Objective: To create a fictional company for a line of products. Create a name, logo and brand mission. Some Pare Kitchenware was created to be a line of products oriented to donating funds to aid in the fight for marriage equality. The brand was targeted to the 25-34 age demographic.

Design Objective: Create a promotional flyer and banners for Pride Houston's Winter Wonderland party. The client wanted the promotional material to carry the party's theme of winter in the world of Alice in Wonderland.

Design: The client needed a logo to match the class and grandeur for their gala fundraiser. Attached are previous ideas and mock-ups of different logos. Influence came from furniture, architecture and fashion from the art deco time period.

Design Objective: The client host the annual Pride Parade in Houston and needed a logo to convey the theme of Rio De Janeiro's Carnivale. Attatchd are prior ideas and mock-ups of different logo designs.

Design Objective: Take a real life business in Houston in need a new logo and design collateral for the business around the new logo.

Client: Night of the Radishes (Class Project)

Format: Poster & Photography

Design Objective: Assigned to create a poster for an event that doesn't get much recognition. I chose the Night of the Radishes which is an event in a town in Mexico where people come out and show off their radish sculptures. Hand carving the radiated and photography were done by me as well.

Design Objective: Design a poster around a superstition or folklore from various cultures.
